작품의 문을 여는 곡이자 타이틀곡이기도 한 'Equal(=)'은 제목 그대로 '동등함'에 대한 곡으로 불평등이 가득한 이 세계에 대한 연민과 함께 화해의 메시지도 조심스럽게 담아내고 있다. 피아노와 보컬이 중심이 되어 차분하고 미니멀하게 진행되는 전반부를 지나 후반부로 갈 수록 리듬, 신스, 일렉기타등이 중첩되며 차츰 고조되는 사운드가 신비로운 분위기를 자아내는 곡이다.
