이번 카프카(K.AFKA)의 새로운 디지털 싱글 [Hello, my friend]는 [Kafka](2004), [Nothingness](2007), 그리고 [The Human Psyche](2013): 이 세장의 정규음반과 EP [The Most Beautiful Thing](2010)과 싱글 [K.](2013)까지 포함하면 여섯 번째 작품이다.

[Trip-hop을 기본으로 Electronica와 Rock의 여러 기법과 정서를 포괄하는 밴드 카프카의 음악은 영화적이다. 이들은 음악으로 선명한 풍경과 세계를 창조하며 그 안으로 빨려 들어 가게 하는데 그 세계는 탐미적이고 몽환적이며 고혹적이며 그로테스크한 세계이다.]

이번 디지털 싱글 [Hello, my friend!]에서도 그들은 또 다른 감성, 또 다른 빛깔의 영화적인 사운드를 담아냈다. 잔잔한 정서에서 출발해 펑크로 치닫는 독특한 구성을 갖춘 'Hello, my friend!'와 감미로운 사운드와는 대조적으로 쓸쓸하고 허무한듯한 보컬의 음색을 담은 'Go Around', 이 두 곡은 이전 앨범들에서와는 또 다른 감성적 색채를 보여준다.

이들의 음악은 대중적이라 일컬어지진 않지만, 독보적이라 불려진다. 그 이유는 그들의 음악에 귀 기울이다 보면 자연스레 알게 될 것이다. 내년(2015년)에 발매될 그들의 4집 정규음반에서는 카프카(K.AFKA)가 또 어떤 세계를 그려낼지 설레이는 마음으로 기다려본다.
